Sam Claflin and Michelle Monaghan alongside Casey Affleck and Veronica Ferres have joined the cast of the independent thriller ‘Every Breath You Take’.

The movie is about a psychiatrist, portrayed by Affleck, whose career is thrown into jeopardy when his patient takes her own life. When he invites his patient’s surviving brother (Claflin) into his home to meet his wife (Monaghan) and daughter, his family life is suddenly torn apart.

Christine Jeffs will helm the project which will be produced by Richard B. Lewis of Southpaw Entertainment and Ferres and Frank Buchs of Construction Film.

“I’m extremely pleased that the gifted Christine Jeffs and our world-class cast have come together to bring this amazing thriller to life, as it touches on themes of family, betrayal and redemption that are universal and resonate for all of us,” Lewis said.

Graduating from the ‘Hunger Games’ Alumni, Claflin has since gone on to star in films such as ‘Love, Rosie’, ‘Me Before You’ and ‘Journey’s End’. His upcoming films include ‘The Nightingale’ and ‘Enola Holmes’. He also recently starred in the latest season of Peaky Blinders as the Nazi politician Oswald Moseley.

Monaghan has previously starred in films such as ‘Pixels’, ‘Patriots Day’ and ‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’. Her upcoming projects include the remake of the 1996 movie ‘The Craft’ and TV series ‘Messiah’.

Affleck won the best actor Oscar in 2017 for his role in ‘Manchester by the Sea’. He went on to star in ‘The Finest Hours’ and ‘The Old Man and the Gun’.

Principal photography will commence this November in Vancouver.
