Netflix has lifted the curtain on its chilling new thriller ‘The Whisper Man,’ offering a haunting first look at the adaptation of Alex North’s bestselling novel. Alongside the images, the streamer confirmed the global premiere date: 28th August, setting the stage for a late-summer descent into psychological dread.
Directed by James Ashcroft, the film stitches together grief, generational trauma and a decades-old serial killer case that refuses to stay buried.

At the heart of ‘The Whisper Man’ lies a nightmare no parent can outrun. When an eight-year-old boy vanishes, his widowed father, a crime writer, is forced to confront both his past and his fractured relationship with his own father, a retired detective. What begins as a desperate search soon spirals into something far darker, as echoes of a long-closed case involving a convicted serial killer known as “The Whisper Man” resurface.
