Netflix has released the official trailer for Lee Chang-dong’s ‘Possible Love,’ South Korea’s official selection for Best International Feature Film at the 99th Academy Awards®.
The latest film from the acclaimed filmmaker behind ‘Burning’ and ‘Poetry’ explores marriage, desire and the secrets that can surface when seemingly ordinary lives collide.
‘Possible Love’ follows two married couples whose paths cross as they come together to film a documentary. One couple consists of a laid-off worker and his spouse, while the other is made up of a documentary filmmaker and her husband. As the project brings them closer together, their contrasting lives, buried emotions and hidden desires begin to emerge.
‘Possible Love’ has already secured an impressive run on the international festival circuit, beginning with its premiere in Competition at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival.
The film has also been selected for the Special Presentations section of the 51st Toronto International Film Festival and the Main Slate of the 64th New York Film Festival.
Further festival screenings are set for the Zabaltegi-Tabakalera section of the 74th San Sebastián International Film Festival, the Gala Screening section of the 22nd Zurich Film Festival, and the Special Presentations section of the 45th Vancouver International Film Festival.

‘Possible Love’ will open in select cinemas on 23rd October, before arriving on Netflix on 6th November.
