Prime Video has released the official trailer for ‘The Love Hypothesis,’ the upcoming romantic comedy based on Ali Hazelwood’s New York Times bestselling novel.
The film stars Lili Reinhart as Olive, a brilliant PhD candidate whose focus is firmly fixed on building a future in academia. Romance, however, has other plans.
When Olive discovers that her best friend Ahn, played by Rachel Marsh, has fallen for Olive’s crush Jeremy (Nicholas Duvernay), she impulsively kisses the intimidating Professor Adam Carlsen (Tom Bateman) in an attempt to prove that she has moved on.
There is just one problem: Adam is not exactly the kind of person Olive expected to find herself fake-dating.
What begins as a spontaneous kiss quickly develops into a carefully constructed fake relationship, complete with rules, boundaries and a mutually beneficial agreement. But as Olive and Adam spend more time together, their supposedly fictional romance starts to feel increasingly real.
Soon, Olive is confronted with a hypothesis she never expected to have to test: perhaps love is worth taking a risk on after all.
