Triplets
Now this project genuinely exists. Well, the initial idea does anyway. But we’re now going to fervently, and somewhat desperately, plea for it to get off the ground. Why? Well, just the very idea that somebody out there has to try and form a narrative and actually find a semblance of plausibility in having Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny De Vito and Eddie Murphy as triplets is a breathtaking prospect.
The initial production Twins, made back in 1988 with Ivan Reitman at the helm, is one of the most illusory, absurd films you’ll ever see, but it’s good-natured and its heart is in the right place. If that same tone can be replicated in a sequel it could be one of the best, worst movies ever made. Which intrigues us greatly.
