Directed by acclaimed South Korean director Park Chan-wook (Oldboy), Stoker is by far one of the most promising and intriguing thrillers due out next year, with a terrific leading trio in Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska, and Matthew Goode.

Chan-wook is making his English language debut here, and after catching the second trailer for the film earlier in the month, a new promo video and teaser poster has surfaced online over at Empire, giving us yet more to look forward to next spring.

“After India’s (Wasikowska’s) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother Evelyn (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.”

Jacki Weaver, Dermot Mulroney, Lucas Till, and Alden Ehrenreich complete the cast, with Ridley Scott and his late brother, Tony Scott, serving as executive producers.

Chan-wook is directing from a script by the great Wentworth Miller, who makes his writing debut, having penned the script under a pseudonym, which went on to make the Black List before being picked up to produce.

Stoker is set for release on 1st March, 2013 in the UK and US, and we can’t wait. Here’s to hoping we’ll be seeing more of Miller’s work on the screen in the years to come, because this looks like a very promising start. For now, here’s the new video and poster, the latter of which you can click to enlarge.
