We reported yesterday that Joss Whedon and Marvel’s The Avengers is now going to be known as Avengers Assemble in the UK, and though I personally liked the simple original title, the new poster that came with the change was pretty damn awesome, so all is not lost.

We also heard at the weekend that Entertainment Tonight would be airing a behind-the-scenes look at the film this week, along with a new trailer coming today, and now we have more of that behind-the-scenes footage to share with you with a preview for today’s trailer embedded into it too, via ET. The new trailer is expected to hit at about 9a.m. on the west coast in America, so we should be getting it here at 5p.m. today.

The next entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe sees Whedon directing from his own script, and of course all of our favourite superheroes from recent years will be returning, including Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr., with Paul Bettany returning as JARVIS), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo, taking over from Edward Norton), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and Loki (Tom Hiddleston).

Avengers Assemble will be with us here in the UK on 27th April, before heading out to the US as The Avengers a week later on 4th May, and will be viewable in 3D and IMAX 3D. This is going to be immense. For all our coverage of The Avengers / Avengers Assemble, you can click right here.
