Empire Online has today released three brand new stills from Deadpool, the highly anticipated R-Rated X-Men spinoff which was stuck in development hell for years.
That all changed when someone leaked test footage for the movie, and when 20th Century Fox saw the overwhelmingly positive response from fans, they really had no other choice than to make Deadpool a reality. As you can see from these new images, it very much is!
They feature a new look at Wade Wilson in and out of costume, while we also get to see Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) and Copycat (Morena Baccarin).
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional (and popular) anti-heroes, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humour, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
