If there is one thing Netflix’s re-imagined Lost in Space shines a spotlight on, it’s the younger generation of the Robinson Family. Made up of the curious and sensitive Will (Max Jenkins), the strong-willed and confident Judy (Taylor Russell) and the quick-witted and definitive middle-child Penny (Mina Sundwall) the three members of this clan are certainly, at times more intelligent than their feuding parents.

Lost in Space is a Netflix Original dramatic and modern reimagining of the classic 1960’s science fiction series. Set 30 years in the future, colonization in space is now a reality, and the Robinson family is among those tested and selected to make a new life for themselves in a better world. But when the new colonists find themselves abruptly torn off course en route to their new home they must forge new alliances and work together to survive in a dangerous alien environment, light years from their original destination.

HeyUGuys’ Zehra Phelan had the pleasure of catching up with Falling Skies Taylor Russell, Maggie’s Plan and Freeheld’s Mina Sundwall and Sense8’s Max Jenkins. On discussion was how the young duo, who are much too young to even know about the original series, prepared themselves for the series, what the most exciting part of being involved was after initially seeing the script and more.
