Sky has unveiled the brand-new trailer for Season 2 of ‘Sweetpea,’ the darkly comic thriller starring Ella Purnell (Fallout, Yellowjackets) as Rhiannon Lewis, the overlooked wallflower who has transformed into a ruthless killer.
In Season 2, Rhiannon tries to navigate a new promotion, an irresistible rebound, and the growing threat of a copycat killer who could expose her murderous secret. As her kill list grows, Rhiannon faces an uncomfortable question about her own identity. Was her perfect ex, AJ, right all along? Is she really a monster?
Joining Purnell for Season 2 is Rish Shah (Overcompensating, Joy) as Gabriel, Rhiannon’s new romantic interest, while Tamsin Greig (Riot Women, Friday Night Dinner) plays Liv, AJ’s mother. Taj Atwal (Riot Women, Line of Duty) stars as Freya, Rhiannon’s formidable new boss at the Carnsham Gazette, and Jenny Walser (Heartstopper, Star City) joins the cast as Daisy, a new friend for Rhiannon. Annabelle Davis (The Dumping Ground) also stars as Bella, who works in the police administration department.
Returning cast members include Jon Pointing (Big Boys, Run Away) as Craig, Jeremy Swift (Ted Lasso, Downton Abbey) as Norman, Leah Harvey (Foundation, The Scurry) as Marina, Ingrid Oliver (Thursday Murder Club, Doctor Who) as DI St John, Nitin Ganatra (Mr Bigstuff, Sexy Beast) as Rory, and Alexandra Dowling (Emily, Game of Thrones) as Seren.
