Ant-Man

How have Marvel taken revenge on Warner Bros. for placing the delayed Batman Vs. Superman into the slot held by one of their untitled 2016 releases? By debuting Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man on the same day that the Caped Crusader and Man of Steel’s team-up movie was originally set to hit…

The original release date was July 31st, 2015, but it will now be released on the 17th of that month instead. This is a smart move by Marvel, as it means they now have an extra two weeks of one of the year’s busiest months for movie theatres. Before it was pushed back to May 6th, 2016, Batman Vs. Superman had a very good chance of stopping Ant-Man from ever reaching #1 at the box office.

It’s hard to not see this as way of Marvel making a dig at their rivals in return for them placing Batman Vs. Superman on the same date as one of their untitled 2016 movies. The question remains now whether or not Disney will back down or put something as big as DC’s movie (Iron Man 4) in that date in order to see if Warner Bros. will back down! Ant-Man will still face off against Pan.

Starring Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, production is set to begin later this year. What do you guys think about this news?
