This post is timed so nicely with the third instalment of ‘No, Seriously – It’s Awesome’ as I think if I went on the show with Will, Licence to Drive would be one of the movies that I’d love talk about.
Years and years ago, well before the dawn of HeyUGuys, I lent Jon a couple of movies, one of those movies was Moving starring Richard Pryor (which no one has ever heard of) and the other was Licence to Drive starring Corey Feldman and Corey Haim. Back in the 80’s ‘The Two Corey’s were unstoppable with hit movies coming out of their ears and Licence to Drive is most definitely one of them!
Jon loved the movie as much as I did and because of this love of movies a few years later, HeyUGuys was born and it has to be through the help of movies like Licence to Drive.
On the press release for this movie (below), DVDTalk state that every child of the 80s needs to watch this movie. I disagree as I believe everyone in the world needs to watch it. It’s simply brilliant and I’m hoping that even if you watch it now (and were born in the 90s!) you’ll still enjoy it as much as I did when I wanted it all those years ago.
We don’t normally stick up a press release when a new movie is coming to DVD, we wouldn’t even normally tweet about it but this one gets a very special mention because it’s awesome! Even better still, it’s released on my birthday 30th July. Buy it, watch it, enjoy it, and maybe start a website that you love more and more every day!

Famous eighties acting duo Corey Feldman and Corey Haim team up in madcap teen comedy License To Drive, which come to UK DVD for the first time.
Fresh from their successful on screen pairing in The Lost Boys Feldman and Haim returned for this eighties screwball comedy which arrives on DVD on 30 July 2012 from Second Sight Films.
Haim plays Les, the guy who’s friends are relying on him to pass his driving test so he can provide the wheels for the weekend, but Les is more interested in impressing his date Mercedes (Heather Graham). When things don’t go according to plan he steals his grandfather’s immaculate Cadillac. But what was supposed to be a dream date soon turns into a nightmare when Mercedes gets drunk and dances on the bonnet in her stilettos, then passes out in the back.
