It was one of our highlights from the London Film Festival, and now finally Le Mans ’66 (otherwise known as Ford vs Ferrari) is upon us. To celebrate the release we sat down with the director James Mangold, to discuss this thrilling real life tale, starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale in the leading roles.

Mangold discusses with us the appeal of the film and why this feature should be seen by those who aren’t fans of racing, as well as those who are. He talks about the commitment of Bale, and how that positive infects the rest of the cast and crew, while we also get him on the subject of Logan. In light of Joker we wanted to know if Mangold could’ve foreseen that his excellent superhero spin-off would’ve had quite the impact of the genre it sits within that it has evidently had.
