According to the NY Post, Kylie Minogue (Neighbours) has signed up to appear as “a heavily tattooed lesbian” in Jack and Diane.
The pop singer is set to star alongside Juno Temple (Greenberg), Jena Malone (The Soloist) and Riley Keough (The Runaways) as an unnamed character. An unknown source said of the role, “Kylie does have one love scene where she kisses a girl. Her fans will be surprised to see her in this role, but her performance is good.”
Jack and Diane tells the story of two teenage girls who meet in New York City and spend the night kissing ferociously. Diane’s charming innocence quickly begins to open Jack’s tough skinned heart. But, when Jack discovers that Diane is leaving the country in a week she tries to push her away. Diane must struggle to keep their love alive while hiding the secret that her newly awakened sexual desire is giving her werewolf-like visions.
Filming is expected to commence this summer, with Bradley Rust Gray (The Exploding Girl) on board to direct.
