The marketing for Warner Bros. and Legendary’s Kong Skull Island has been very impressive so far. The forthcoming monster movie has teased its biggest asset very well, with the latest movie poster giving us a peek at one of the movie’s biggest moments.

So far we’ve had ourselves a very story heavy first trailer, then a very excitable, monster-focused Japanese version, and now we have an update to the already impressive poster line up for Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ film. The new poster echoes the famous moment in previous King Kong films where the huge monster meets the film’s leading lady. Twelve years ago it was Naomi Watts who tamed the beast, a modern take on the iconic Fay Wray role of the 1933 film. Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson, is this film’s sole female lead and it seems she too will have a close encounter with Kong.

We are two months away from the film’s release and there will be plenty more Kong and Godzilla in our future. Warners and Legendary are hoping to match the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Universal’s fledgling Horror series with their own Monsterverse. Godzilla will next be seen in King of Monsters, and then we’ll see the two behemoths fight it out in a Monster vs Monster crossover a few years later. Hopes will be high for the success of this one.

The cast of Kong: Skull Island includes Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, and John C. Reilly, and it’s currently set to be released on March 10th, 2017. Here’s your new trailer.
