Hulu has debuted the trailer for the upcoming thriller series ‘Kindred.’
As Dana, a young Black woman and aspiring writer begin to settle in her new home, she finds herself being pulled back and forth in time, emerging at a nineteenth-century plantation and confronting secrets she never knew ran through her blood.
As she meets with family members who came before her, the harsh realities of the 19th-century plantation she finds herself in are a constant threat to the young woman forced to make sense of the interracial love affair that threatens to tear her current life apart.
Mallori Johnson, Micah Stock, Ryan Kwanten, Gayle Rankin, David Alexander Kapla, Austin Smith, Sheria Irving and Sophina Brown co-star in the eight-episode series created by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (Watchmen).
