By now the more perceptive among you may have gathered that HeyUGuys are rather keen on Kick-Ass.  In fact we think it does exactly what it says on the tin!  You might have picked up on tiny clues peppered throughout the site – exclusive red carpet premiere interviews, competitions, rave reviews and dedicated podcasts.  Because we suspect you’re going to love the film as much as we did, we sat down for an exclusive interview with co-writer and producer Jane Goldman to get you the inside story.

Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman’s ultra-violent “love letter to comic books” is based on the comics of Mark Millar and artist John S. Romita Jr.  It is a true collaborative effort born of Vaughn’s gift for structure and story and Goldman’s talent for dialogue and characterisation.  Of working with Jane Goldman Vaughn said:

“I love writing with Jane.  I’m the guy that draws the blueprint of the house and she comes along and goes, ‘that’s a pretty good house but I can make it a lot better.’  She turns it into a proper home.  I’d be pretty lost without her.”

In person we found Jane to be warm, engaging and delicately pretty.  A great sport with a mischievous sense of humour she even took time to autograph for us the very newspaper that had been waging huffy, middle class war against her this week.  Obviously we think Jane Goldman kicks ass, we hope you agree…
