We got our first look at Katy Perry’s upcoming 3D documentary / concert-movie, Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D, when the first full-length trailer made its way online last month.

The award-winning and record-breaking artist has just put out the film’s first official poster ahead of its release this summer via her Facebook, giving us a look at her on stage and behind the scenes (along with a healthy dose of neon titling), both of which the film will be focusing on.

We first heard about the project earlier this year, when word surfaced that Perry was in talks with Paramount to make it happen after the studio found success with Justin Bieber’s 3D concert movie/documentary, with the film giving us,

“A revealing look at Katy Perry’s life both on and off the stage during her California Dreams Tour.”

Co-directed by frequent collaborators Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, both Emmy Award-winners whose credits include producing the Bieber film, Project Runway, and Top Chef, with the brilliant Brian Grazer (Arrested Development, 24) is on board as producer.

Katy Perry: Part of Me will be released in 3D on 5th July in the UK and US, which will see it going head-to-head with The Amazing Spider-Man. Admittedly, they’ll be playing to fairly different audiences, but it might not be the most ideal weekend for its release. Here’s to hoping that they’ll both find great success.

Perry’s long list of awards and records pretty much speaks for itself, and I can imagine this will be a must-see for a lot of her fans. As usual, you can click the poster below to enlarge.
