Well this is very exciting! In what could be a match made in heaven, Amazon has acquired the acting talents of Jeff Goldblum and Danny DeVito to star in a new half-hour series for the streaming service. And if that wasn’t enough, the show is created by Tim Long, the writer-producer of The Simpsons, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

In the new show, the actors will play an “iconic music duo from the past” who reunite despite the fact that over the years they have come to hate each other. DeVito and Goldblum will executive produce the show with legendary producer Brian Grazer (Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind) with Imagine TV’s Jon Radler overseeing the show.

The duo has been enjoying a new renaissance in recent years: DeVito, who shot to fame on Taxi back in the 1970s, has recently been seen in cult-comedy series It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and is in talks to join Tim Burton again for his upcoming live-action remake of Dumbo.

Goldblum, meanwhile, has just signed on for two huge franchises: he will play The Grandmaster in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok later this year alongside Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Cate Blanchett; and has just signed on to reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World 2, which sees Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard returning from the previous installment.

Here’s the official synopsis for the show:

“Matt Downey (Goldblum) and Arlo Finkleman (DeVito) are forced to reunite despite their longstanding hatred for one another. As the talented but strong-willed pair attempt to reconcile, they turn to the people who somehow manage to love these two incandescent idiots — their wives, ex-wives, children, managers, friends and lovers — all of whom turn out to be as brilliant, infuriating and frustratingly lovable as Matt and Arlo themselves.”

No air date has been announced yet but we could see the show in 2018.
