‘Avengers: End Game’ actor Josh Brolin and Miles Teller have joined the cast of Sean Penn’s ‘Flag Day’ which will also star Penn’s children Dylan and Hopper.

Based on Jennifer Vogel’s 2005 memoir ‘Flim-Flam Man: The True Story of My Father’s Counterfeit Life’. The book tells the story of a daughter that has to come to terms with her perceptions of her criminal father, a bank robber and career counterfeiter that evaded arrest for six months.

Penn will take the director’s chair while Tony-winning playwright Jez Butterworth will pen the screenplay which will also star Norbert Leo Butz, Dale Dickey, Eddie Marsan, Bailey Noble and Katheryn Winnick. William Horberg, Jon Kilik and Fernando Sulichin will produce.

Brolin was last seen as Thano’s being defeated once and for all in ‘Avengers: Endgame’. No stranger to the comic book genre he also played Cable in ‘Deadpool’ and will be returning to the role in ‘X-Force’. He will next be seen in Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune’ remake as Gurney Halleck alongside an all-star cast including Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Timothee Chalamet and Jason Momoa.

Teller was last seen in ‘Only The Brave’ and is currently starring in Nicolas Winding Refn’s Amazon Prime series ‘Too Old To Die Young’. He will also be playing the son of Goose in Joseph Kosinski’s ‘Top Gun’ sequel ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ which also stars Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly, Ed Harris, Jon Hamm and Val Kilmer. He will also voice the character of Gilbert in animation ‘The Ark and the Aardvark.
