Jason Momoa has been set to return to the DC universe in Craig Gillespie’s ‘Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.’
However, Momoa has hung up his fork for good as Aquaman and will take on the antihero Lobo role. Momoa confirmed the news on Instagram.
Momoa joins a cast of Milly Alcock who takes on the title role of Supergirl AKA Kara Zor-El. Also on the cast is Matthias Schoenaerts who will play the role of villain Krem of the Yellow Hill and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle.

Gillespie will take on the helm on a screenplay from ‘The Vampire Diaries’ Ana Nogueira. The story is based on the run of DC comics by Tom King and Bilquis Evely.
Plot details are not surprisingly being kept under lock and key. Still, Gunn teased that ‘Woman of Tomorrow’ is “much more hardcore” than prior iterations of the character, who is Superman’s cousin.
Production is due to begin on January 13 2025, with the film slated to release theatrically on June 26, 2026.
