We’re huge fans of the Jameson Empire Film Awards, it’s always a fantastic night to celebrate the fan favourites and no necessarily those movies which the critics (of which we know we have become!) decide should take the top spots.

Post BAFTAs, Oscars and Golden Globes, the Jameson Empire Awards never fails to attract the cream of the crop of acting and filmmaking talent. The awards this year will take place on Sunday 20th March hosted by David Walliams and with a bit of luck, we’ll be there on the red carpet chatting to the stars as they arrive.

Those taking the top spots thus far look like Tom Hardy’s Mad Max: Fury Road, J.J Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Revenant and the Martian following closely behind.

Here’s the full list of nominations from the Empire readers which spans releases from January 31 2015, to January 31 2016.

You can vote for your favourites on the Empire website here.
