It seems that fans of this year’s Oscar-winning director may have to wait sooner than they thought for her next project.

There has been rumbling in the blogosphere for a while that she was working with Hurt Locker producer/writer Mark Boal again, but now it looks like she hoping to land a big name ensemble cast and that the months of December and January are being circled as potential start dates.

The Wrap have managed to procure an “unofficial” email from Paramount listing the company’s upcoming projects. It states that the director has been meeting with the likes of Will Smith, Sean Penn (who she directed in the little seen The Weight of Water), Javier Bardem and Christian Bale. What a line-up!

In the same piece however, a spokesperson for Paramount claims the email “has some correct information and some inaccurate information.”

We know that she has been readily her new project for a while, as an article from The New York Times from way back in May covered the problems Bigelow faced when the governments of Paraguay and Argentina refused to let her film in both countries.

I do hope the casting information is revealed to be correct too, but we’ll keep you posted when both this and the production date has been fully confirmed.
