When investing in an on-screen romance, it’s always something of a relief to witness the actors share that same chemistry in real life, so as not to dispel the myth. That was certainly the case where Lily Collins and Sam Claflin were concerned, certainly comfortable in one another’s company as we interviewed them for their latest endeavour, Love, Rosie.
We discussed the joys in making a film set a decade ago, as they were able to get their hands on nostalgia-infused, old technology (Nokia 3210, anyone?), while they spoke about playing roles in a more intimate, human film, rather than the fantastical blockbusters they’ve both starred in recently. Finally, we asked if they, much like their characters have that ‘one who got away…’
