Well, it’s about damn time! For a while now we’ve been wondering when House of Cards will return to Netflix, especially as it’s reached us in previous years during February or March.

It’s been announced today by the online streaming service will debut season five on May 30th, quite a bit later than normal. However, it should be worth the wait, especially after season four wrapped up with Frank and Claire more united (and evil?) than ever before.

As you can see, the teaser below doesn’t reveal much, and story details have yet to be revealed. The video was however accompanied by, “One nation. Underwood. House of Cards returns May 30 on Netflix.” So, yeah, that doesn’t exactly shed much light on what’s to come! Still, with Donald Trump in the White House, President Frank Underwood is starting to look like a much better option, so how fiction will outdo reality obviously remains to be seen!

House of Cards has a new showrunner moving into season five following the departure of creator Beau Willimon, so it could very well be a different sort of series when it returns.

House of Cards was one of over twenty shows we recently singled out as being the most must-watch TV shows from the next few months, and you can find the full list right here.
