In two months exactly we’ll 
be lining up for our look at Marc Webb’s take on Marvel’s other big summer movie and as if appetites were not whet enough here’s the latest, and presumably last, trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man.
I still recall the twitterspasm caused by the single tweet from Sony Pictures many months ago proclaiming in one fell swoop that Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man series was at end and Peter Parker would be going back to high school for another re-telling of his story.
At the time John Malkovich was being rumoured as the main villain of Raimi’s fourth Spidey film, The Vulture if memory serves, but this comfortable rug was swiftly pulled from beneath our feet and all eyes were on the cast and crew of the forthcoming reboot.
We knew quickly that (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb would be taking the reins for this 3D reboot and soon the casting gods smiled on us and delivered Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone as Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy, our two leads. Rhys Ifans would play Dr. Curt Connors, known to his enemies as The Lizard, and now all that’s left is to know is whether there’s a script beneath all this.
Two months to go, and only Prometheus in the meanwhile…
