Netflix has nabbed Captain Carter aka Hayley Atwell to voice the character of Lara Croft in the upcoming anime series ‘Tomb Raider.’
The story will pick up after the events of the ‘Tomb Raider’ reboot trilogy, charting a new adventure (in new territory) for the globetrotting Lara Croft 25 years after her first game launched.
The series will be executive produced by Tasha Huo, who also writes; dj2 Entertainment founder and CEO Dmitri M. Johnson; Howard Bliss; Stephan Bugaji; and Tractor Pants president Jacob Robinson.

Having become a fan favourite in the MCU as the smart and feisty Peggy Carter and the love interest of Steve Rogers aka Captain America, Atwell went on to front her own MCU spin-off series Agent Carter and voice the character of Captain Carter in the latest Disney+ series ‘What If…?’ Outside of the MCU, Atwell has starred in ‘Howards End’ for TV and ‘Brideshead Revisited,’ ‘The Duchess,’ ‘Christopher Robin’ and ‘Blinded by the Light’. Her upcoming project will see her star opposite Tom Cruise in ‘Mission: Impossible 7’
