Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes

The final trailer for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has been released, and you can watch it right here!

The follow-up to Rise of the Planet of the Apes is set ten years after that movie, and focuses on Caesar as he attempts to lead the colony of apes who he led to freedom from captivity several years earlier. Meanwhile, a virus has wiped out most of humanity, but those left are fighting for survival.

The new dynamics of the now much more advanced society of apes promises to be one of Dawn’s most intriguing aspects, while rumour has it that the next movie will take place in a world even more similar to the one seen in the classic Planet of the Apes movies.

This preview offers up some great new footage from the movie, including a much better look at the ruined San Francisco and the ape army preparing to attack. However, perhaps most interesting is the fact that we’re introduced to many of the human cast members and the evolution of the apes.

They all have very distinct personalities, and are clearly becoming more human as time goes on!

It should be fascinating to see where Dawn of the Planet of the Apes leaves things, and where the sequel (which has been confirmed for a 2016 release) will pick up from. Just how much story is there to tell in the build up to the creation of the new society seen in the original Planet of the Apes?

We’ll have to wait and see, but for now, enjoy this incredible new trailer!

A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

Starring Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Enrique Murciano, Kirk Acevedo and Judy Greer, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is set to be released on July 11th.
