We’ve been eagerly awaiting the latest episode in the Fast and Furious franchise since the first trailer revealed rifts in the family. While we’re not expecting the new installment to bring us anything ground breaking the previous seven (!) films have allowed the production team to hone the carscapades and explosive, muscled action. A new trailer has arrived for Fast and Furious 8 (or F8 if you must) and it’s everything we were expecting. It’s perhaps the most ridiculously over the top trailer we’ve ever seen.

One new face we’re looking forward to seeing is the antagonist played by Charlize Theron in a role she appears to be relishing. Oh, and there’s Helen FLIPPING Mirren in there as well. At least there’s an attempt to balance the testosterone which fuels the series. The rest of the cast are back including Dwayne Johnson who has his contractual obligation to appear in 50% of all films in production at one time. His moment with Jason Statham in this new trailer is particularly choice.

The new trailer is a mash up of both fast and furious, with The Rock being incredibly macho – catching a grenade and checking it out before checking it to the side to explode. It’s madness. Here’s the trailer.
