The full cast for the upcoming fourth instalment in ‘The Expendables’ franchise has been announced with a few familiar faces making a return.

Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren and Randy Couture will return following their previous involvement in the first three movies. Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, Megan Fox and Tony Jaa are newcomers to the fourth.

The focal point of the latest entry is said to focus Statham and Fox as the film’s leads.

Scott Waugh (Need for Speed) will direct from a script penned by Spenser Cohen, Max Adams and John Joseph Connolly.

Statham, Kevin King Templeton, Les Weldon, Yariv Lerner, Jeffrey Greenstein and Jonathan Yunger will produce.

“It’s so much fun to bring these stars together for a no-holds-barred action film,” said Jason Constantine, president of acquisitions and co-productions for the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, in a statement. “The new film will raise the stakes and be the biggest, most badass adventure yet.”

Stallone directed the first movie and wrote the script with David Callaham, focusing on characters with names such as Lee Christmas (Statham), Gunner Jensen (Lundgren) and Toll Road (Couture). The initial movie, released in 2010, gathered up the biggest names in action movies from the 1980s, wrestlers and international martial arts stars.

Filming will begin in October.
