Netflix has launched the first trailer for Anne Fletcher’s ‘Dumplin’ starring Jennifer Aniston as a mother and ex-beauty pageant queen.

Dumplin’ (Danielle Macdonald) is the plus-size, teenage daughter of a former beauty queen (Jennifer Aniston), who signs up for her mom’s pageant as a protest that escalates when other contestants follow her footsteps, revolutionizing the pageant and their small Texas town.

Based on the Julie Murphy’s #1 New York Times bestselling novel the film is Directed by 27 Dresses’ Anne Fletcher, the film stars Aniston, Danielle MacDonald (Bird Box, Patti Cake$),  Odeya Rush (Lady Bird, Goosebumps), Dove Cameron (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Liv and Maddie, Descendants), Harold Perrineau (Claws, Lost).

Dumplin’ Official Synopsis

The film follows an outspoken plus-sized teenage girl named Willowdean (Danielle Macdonald), who’s known as Will to her friends and Dumplin’ to her mother (Jennifer Aniston), a former beauty queen who now runs the local Miss Teen Blue Bonnet pageant. In her small Texas town, Will confidently ignores comments about her weight and listens to Dolly Parton songs obsessively. But when she decides to enter her mother’s pageant in protest, her bold move encourages other contestants to follow in her footsteps, redefining the town’s traditions in the process.
