A new trailer and series of posters have been released for the Point Break remake, Ericson Core’s (Invincible) new take Kathryn Bigelow’s 1991 film of the same name which starred Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves, and has become something of a cult classic.

In the new Point Break, a young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Luke Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill seeking elite athletes, led by the charismatic Bodhi (Edgar Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a string of staggering crimes that kill innocent people and send the world’s economy into a tailspin. Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the callous architects of these inconceivable crimes.

The studio promises that the upcoming reboot will feature, “the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture.” That’s a bold promise! “These action adventure feats are performed by extreme athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.”

Check out the new trailer and posters below. The cast also includes Ray Winstone, Teresa Palmer, and Delroy Lindo, and it’s set to be released this Christmas. Good luck facing off with Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Still, it’s certainly possible Point Break will find an audience…
