From the producers of The King’s Speech comes this big screen adaptation of Shakespeare’s play Macbeth about Scottish General Macbeth (Michael Fassbender) whose ambitious wife (Marion Cotillard) urges him to use wicked means in order to gain power of the throne over the sitting king. This new creepy clip from the movie focuses on the first meeting between Macbeth and the sinister three witches who will help the Thane Who Would Be King.

The trio are played by Lynn Kennedy, Seylan Baxter, and Kayla Fallon, while the youngster in the clip is Amber Rissman. Macbeth has a very impressive cast, with Sean Harris and Elizabeth Debicki playing Macduff and Lady Macduff, David Thewlis as Duncan, Jack Reynor as Malcolm, and Paddy Considine as Banquo joining Fassbender and Cotillard in the movie.

Macbeth is the story of a fearless warrior and inspiring leader brought low by ambition and desire. A thrilling interpretation of the dramatic realities of the times and a reimagining of what wartime must have been like for one of literature’s most famous and compelling characters, a story of all-consuming passion and ambition set in war torn Scotland.

Set to be released in UK cinemas on October 2nd (and in the US on December 4th), you can check out this new clip along with a sixty second TV spot and two spooky posters below.
