She’s already the face of the new Star Wars trilogy, but Daisy Ridley’s career might be about to get even bigger as Warner Bros. and MGM are considering her for the role of Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot which is set to tell the video game icon’s origin story.

Conversations have apparently taken place, but Deadline cautions that there are no official talks or offers on the table just yet and that the studio could still look elsewhere (there’s also nothing to say Ridley will accept; the 23 year old actress has a busy few years ahead).

Ridley is pretty much perfect for the role anyway; she’s the right age, has the right look for the young Lara, and even has the perfect accent! This Tomb Raider reboot has been in the works for years now, and while it felt like it would never happen for a while, the fact that the movie recently landed a writer and director has obviously moved things forward quite nicely.

Warner Bros. partnered with MGM earlier this year after GK Films picked up the rights from Square Enix in 2011. Plot details for this new take are being kept a closely guarded secret, though it’s previously been reported that it will focus on a young Tomb Raider similar to the recent video games. Evan Daugherty, Marti Noxon and Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby all previously worked on the script, and a release date has yet to be announced by the studio.
