The rumours surrounding the return of Christoph Waltz as ‘Bond’ villain Blofeld to ‘Bond 25’ seem to have been confirmed with sightings of Waltz spotted on the Pinewood Studios lot during filming.

It is rumoured that Blofeld’s return would just be a brief cameo in which Bond visits the incarcerated villain to get details about Remi Malek’s bioterrorist bad guy.

In the new film, Bond is living a tranquil retirement life in Jamaica – one that’s interrupted when US agent Felix Leiter shows up and asks for help to rescue a kidnapped scientist which puts Bond on the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Daniel Craig will reprise the role of the suited and booted uber spy and womaniser, James Bond, for the final time. Returning cast members include Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Jeffrey Wright, Lea Seydoux and Rory Kinnear. Joining the franchise are for the 25th instalment are Rami Malek (playing the villain), Ana de Armas, Dali Benssalah, Lashana Lynch and Billy Magnussen.

Cary Fukunaga is directing the film after stepping into the void left by Danny Boyle who walked away from the project due to “creative differences”.

The script is written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, Scott Z. Burns with Cary Joji Fukunaga and Phoebe Waller-Bridge have also made contributions to the latest version of the script.

Broccoli revealed that Bond is not on active service when the film starts, but the film has already shot in Norway and will travel to Pinewood in London and Italy.

Waltz was last seen in ‘Alita: Battle Angel’, his upcoming films include ‘Georgetown’ and ‘The French Dispatch’.
