With all the attention Thor has been receiving over the past week it is nice to see Captain America: The First Avenger vying for audiences attention again.
Joe Johnston has revealed the Hydra Logo being used in the film. In the Marvel universe, Hydra is the enemy of S.H.I.E.L.D, the organization fronted by Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury.
Hydra’s role in the film is still under wraps, however, news that Hugo Weaving’s Red Skull will be working for the organization implies that they will play a villainous role in the film as well. Almost identical to the logo used in the comics, Johnson showed off the Hydra logo by phone in an interview with Entertainment Weekly (via CBM).
With the release of Captain America: The First Avenger still some way off, there is plenty of time to familiarise yourself with the Hydra organization and speculate about its place in Marvel’s upcoming movie offerings.
