It’s the news to will send fans of the MCU into a spin, whether true or not, Chris Evan’s is reportedly making a return to the beloved character of Captain America/Steve Rogers.

After famously hanging up that tight fitted lycra suit and retiring from the role after ‘Avengers: End Game’ it would appear Marvel have lured Evans back to play the role in some capacity.

While details are vague, it’s said that it is unlikely there will be another Captain America movie. Instead, expect to see Cap turn up in a cameo capacity or the like in a Marvel property in the same vein as Robert Downey Jnr’s Tony Stark/Iron Man in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’. A deal was said to have come together at the beginning of the year.

There is a catch… Evans has since taken to social media to deny the rumours, but we all know that’s been done before only for the news to be true.

At the end of End Game, Cap handed over his shield to Anthony Mackie’s Falcon as he headed into his old age. With the next phase of the MCU heading into the Multiverse, who knows what could be unearthened.
