When journalists visited the London set of Justice League earlier this year, they revealed that the Caped Crusader would sport an alternate “Tactical Batsuit.” However, what they didn’t mention is its surprising resemblance to the suit worn by Nite-Owl in Watchmen. Of course, seeing as that hero was actually based on Batman, it’s not like the Dark Knight is a copycat!
Still, seeing as Zack Snyder helmed both that movie and Justice League, it’s hard to escape the sense of deja vu here as there’s an impossible to miss similarity between the costumes.
Even so, there’s no denying that Batman looks very cool here. We’ve obviously seen a version of the Batsuit from Justice League (which was pretty much identical to the one from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, albeit with a new colour scheme), but this take is also reminiscent of the costume the hero wore when Christian Bale donned the cape and cowl.
Snyder shared the image below with the tagline, “Homestretch. Last day filming Batman in the new Tactical Batsuit.” How much it will factor into Justice League remains to be seen then, but it should be very interesting to find out how this enhances Batman’s abilities!
