Agents-of-S.H.I.E.L.D.Of all the upcoming projects hitting TV later this year, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is definitely the one I’m looking forward to most.

It’s been far too long since we saw Joss Whedon on the small screen, and I cannot wait for his return.

Last month brought with it an absolutely awesome first full-length trailer, giving us a great little teaser from the pilot episode. And now a new TV spot has aired, giving us another thirty seconds of goodness.

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Clark Gregg is back, reprising his role as Agent Coulson from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I’m so looking forward to seeing how his return is handled. He stars alongside a great cast, led by Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Brett Dalton, Eliazabeth Henstridge, and Chloe Bennet.

Whedon himself directed the pilot, penning the script with past collaborators (and family members) Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is set to air in the US on Tuesdays this autumn/fall, and is pretty much guaranteed to be one of the most talked-about programmes of the year.
