A Good Day to Die Hard will be hitting theatres on Valentine’s Day in the New Year, marking Bruce Willis’ return for the fifth instalment in the cult franchise.

In the past few weeks, we’ve seen the first TV spot and a bloody and battle-worn new poster, and now a second TV spot has debuted to go alongside the first, promising it to be the action-heavy film we’re all expecting.

“Since the first Die Hard in 1988, John McClane has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the skills and attitude to always be the last man standing, making him enemy #1 for terrorists the world over. Now, McClane faces his greatest challenge ever, this time on an international stage, when his estranged son Jack is caught up in the daring prison escape of a rogue Russian leader, and father and son McClane must work together to keep each other alive and keep the world safe for democracy.”

“Bruce Willis is back as iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, who for the first time finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack (Jai Courtney) — unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.”

Willis is joined by on-screen son Jai Courtney, with support from Cole Hauser, Sebastian Koch, and Yuliya Snigir, and the brilliant Mary Elizabeth Winstead reprising her role as Willis’ daughter, Lucy McClane.

John Moore (Max Payne) is behind the camera, directing from a script by Skip Woods (Hitman).

A Good Day to Die Hard will be heading into theatres in the UK and US on 14th February, 2013, and is sure to set the box office alight when it does. The perfect alternative for those looking for a bit of action rather than a more romantic outing to the multiplex. For now, here’s the latest TV spot. Enjoy.
