2. The Catchphrases
The Terminator franchise has had a massive cultural impact (and by “franchise”, we mean the first two instalments…the most recent efforts are just remembered for being bad movies).
For proof of that, look no further than the catchphrases. How many times have you heard “Come With Me If You Want To Live!” parodied and referenced over the years? Not least in the Terminator Genisys trailers where Sarah Connor is the one delivering the classic line.
The two most obvious examples of course are “Hasta La Vista, Baby” and “I’ll Be Back”, and while they no longer seem to have the same impact coming from Arnie, they’re catchphrases which it’s hard not to imagine being remembered forever! Of course, unlike a lot of movies, it seems fair to say that Terminator won’t be remembered ONLY because of such memorable zingers.
