4. Venom
You may wonder why Venom is on this list, especially as Alex Kurtzman is apparently bringing the iconic Spider-Man supervillain to the big screen with Carnage in 2017. However, recent reports indicate that Sony are rethinking their approach to the franchise and may have scrapped this spin-off as a result.
We’ll have to wait and see whether that is indeed the case, but if another reboot is on the way, make Flash Thompson an important part of the story and set up an Agent Venom movie. After losing his legs fighting overseas (inspired by the heroics of Spider-Man), Flash is offered the chance to be bonded with the alien symbiote and once again serve his country.
This version of the character is in some ways a lot more interesting that the “Lethal Protector” phase Eddie Brock went through, though Flash is more hero than villain to be honest…
