The thing which will be interesting about Suicide Squad and Sinister Six is exactly who the “supervillain” is that the villains team-up to take out. It’s hard to imagine it not being Spider-Man in the latter’s case, but with the DC Comics adaptation, the chances of them going after a hero are slim.

The same goes for this supervillain team. The Thunderbolts started off as pretending to be heroes so they could commit crimes, but actually ended up fighting the good fight somewhere along the line. Then there’s more recent iterations where like the Suicide Squad, they’ve begrudgingly worked for the government with a hero like Luke Cage in charge.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has expressed interest in this unique team, so when he’s finished bringing that group’s adventures to the big screen, give him the Thunderbolts Marvel
