9. The Rhino (Paul Giamatti, The Amazing Spider-Man 2)
In the comics, Aleksei Sytsevich is a Russian thug who became bonded to a Rhino suit and gained heightened levels of strength, speed and stamina in the process (that’s the short version anyway). It appears as if The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be shedding some more light on Systevich’s past, with set photos revealing a confrontation between him and Spidey.
However, the trailer and posters have revealed that he at some points suits up in some sort of mechanical exoskeleton in order to try to take down the titular hero. This new look for the villain hasn’t sat well with a lot of fans, although with the possibility of The Rhino making an appearance in a future movie as part of The Sinister Six, there’s time for the suit to be further enhanced and improved.
