4. Brian races Dominic (The Fast and the Furious)
Looking back, this is very much an iconic moment in the franchise which set the tone for pretty much everything that followed. Though they would later become best friends with an unbreakable family bond, Dom and O’Conner started out as bitter enemies and steadfast rivals.
The near miss with the train is one of those shots which make you pretty much jump out of your chair, and well put together crash (with excellent practical effects) at the last minute would rob us of finding out who the better man truly was.
Of course, despite how close they became, Dom and O’Conner’s rivalry never truly went away as would be seen at several points throughout the series as the argument over who was the better driver continued…
