7. Drifting (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift)

At the time, this instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise appeared to be a pointless entry which failed to launch what could have been a Tokyo set side series to the main movies.

However, that brief cameo from Dom made a lot more sense after Justin Lin cleverly tied it all together in Fast and Furious 6, and why a character who died in this movie was alive and well in both that and Fast Five was finally revealed as the story came full circle. Tokyo Drift had some awesome moments, and the race through the parking garage in which we all learned what the “Drift” part of the title meant, made for a pulse pounding few minutes.

This added a new wrinkle to the series as we were introduced to a new environment and type of racing style.
