The word of the day is ‘anthropomorphic’. With the Christmas trailer for The Secret Life of Pets up earlier today this new trailer for Disney’s forthcoming Zootropolis (known in the States as the far less prosaic ‘Zootopia’) continues a regular theme for our big animation studios.
Zootropolis is the handiwork of Tangled’s Byron Howard, Wreck-It Ralph’s Rich Moore and Jared Bush. We join this furry facsimile of our world with new (rabbit) police officer Judy Hopps (ouch…) looking to crack a case wide open damnit with smooth (and possible Fantastic) Fox Nick Wilde.
This new trailer is actually an extended clip, focusing on an early part of the case, in which Judy and Nick travel to the DMV (the Department of Mammal Vehicles) to meet with FLASH, the fastest sloth working there. Things go as predicted.
