The website claims that the Disney Channel star will portray famous Peter Parker/ Spider-Man love Mary Jane Watson in next summer’s film alongside Tom Holland as the titular hero. Kirsten Dunst played the role in the three Sam Raimi film’s through the 2000’s while Divergent star Shailene Woodley filmed scenes for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as MJ that were ultimately cut out of the final film.

However, this is still rumour right now with no official word from Marvel or Sony on the news.

Jumping off from Holland’s appearance in this summer’s Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming will focus on the high-school years of Peter Parker and co-stars Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Bokeem Woodbine, Donald Glover and Robert Downey Jnr and is set for release on July 7th 2017.
