Writer/director Max Landis has slowly been working his way up the Hollywood with such films as Chronicle and American Ultra making their way to the big screen recently.

But one thing Landis is always asked about is his father, acclaimed filmmaker John Landis, who is responsible for classic films such as The Blues Brothers, Coming To America and An American Werewolf in London. He took to Twitter this week to answer a long-asked fan question on whether he would ever remake one of his father’s film’s saying:

“Since I get the question all the time: There’s only one of my dad’s movies I’d ever be willing to try to remake and I’m already doing it.”

Could he be about to remake the horror-comedy classic? Quick off the blocks were Bloody Disgusting, who after some detective work found that Landis himself had said on Twitter previously that he was working on a new film codenamed “Moors”. Werewolf aficionados will immediately spot the potential links between the film and the word Moors so is it possible Landis is working on a remake? No official word on the link yet but keep your eyes peeled for this one.

Released in 1981, An American Werewolf starring David Naughton, Griffin Dunne and Jenny Agutter and won an Academy Award for Rick Baker’s astounding make-up effects.
