We may be just weeks away from learning the identity of the next actor to play Han Solo as The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Disney’s hunt now appears to be in its final stages.

Tests were reportedly conducted in London this past weekend, and Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!), Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service), and Jack Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction) were among them. These aren’t necessarily the final three though, just those the trade has heard about. Other actors likely also tested over the weekend too.

Ten actors are said to have met with directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and other possible names include Miles Teller (Whiplash), Ansel Elgort (Divergent), Emory Cohen (Brooklyn), and even some of the stars of Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some.

Casting the next Han Solo is no easy feat, and the pressure will be on whichever actor lands the role to follow in the footsteps of Harrison Ford. The name which really stands out here is Egerton, the talented Welsh actor who will next be seen in that Eddie the Eagle biopic.

Whether or not he’ll land the role remains to be seen, and everyone is sure to have their own personal favourite when it comes to a character like Han Solo. Who are you rooting for?
